9/17 UPDATE:
Thanks to all of you, we now have 24 members joining us at the Walk this Saturday 9/21, and we’ve raised a total of $4,625! We hope you are as excited as we are to walk for this amazing cause!
We wanted to update those of you who plan on parking downtown near the walk. The AFSP sent out parking details in their email this morning as part of the Walk Information Document.
There are going to be 400 free parking spots at the Montrose Parking Lot which the AFSP rented out, but with 5,000+ walkers that may fill up fast.
Pro Tip: Book with Spot Hero. To reserve your parking spot for the Chicago Out of the Darkness Walk, visit the Montrose Field SpotHero Parking Page and book a spot with rates up to 50% off drive-up.
Note: We just did this for 8am-8pm, which is $12.50 at the closest lot to Montrose Harbor, then to take another $10 off (yes, $2.50 parking downtown Chicago for 12 hours) add this promo code: SEP10SH
We suggest acting fast on the parking if you plan on driving downtown. As mentioned, we will have a 12-passenger van shuttle from the Holiday Inn and Marriott hotels in Oakbrook. We’ll likely make 2 trips (details to come), but spots may fill up fast.
It’s SUPER IMPORTANT that everyone who is walking is REGISTERED, please follow the steps below.
Thanks for all your hard work! Let’s see if we can hit the $5,000 raised mark!
